What We Do... As members of the SCA, we seek to study and recreate pre-17th-century Western civilization. We do this by exploring the arts, sciences, traditions, and cultures of the many lands and peoples of pre 1600 Europe in a hands on manner. We study dance, calligraphy, martial arts, cooking, metalwork, stained glass, costuming, literature, weaving, heraldry, … and the list continues! Chances are, if it existed before 1600 someone in the SCA does it and would love to help you learn how! Use the links to the right to explore some of the ways our shire members participate. |
